Student Ministry | February

Student Ministry LogoThe Spring Semester is ROLLING & our first Friend’s Night went GREAT!

This semester we are focusing on what our lives should look like after we encounter God from an action stand point and what it means to own our faith! We are praying that our students will fully understand how following Christ should impact all areas of their lives!

Coming up, IN ONLY A COUPLE WEEKS (Feb 28 – Mar 1), is the Student Life Conference which will be our Spring Retreat! Packets have gone out and are available in the youth room and from Camille! This will be an extremely impactful weekend on both a personal level for each student as well as our entire group! It’s often difficult on a weekly basis to allow relationships to develop, but on trips, students share experiences and build bonds that last a lifetime! This will be a foundational trip for our ministry so please encourage your student to attend!

I want to reemphasize that if you haven’t gotten to know your student’s small group leader, see myself or Camille and we will provide the opportunity for you to be introduced! We want to partner with you to help your students be who God created them to be and that means working together.

Be sure to follow us on Facebook: VVCC Student Ministry & Twitter: VVCC Student Ministry because we post regular reminders about what’s going on!

Thank you for the opportunity to work with your student!

I'm originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma, but call Cooper, Texas, where I graduated high school, home. I am the oldest of fifteen siblings. (Yes, I said fifteen) I am my mom's only biological kid and the only white kid in my family! In 2002, I married the most amazing woman in the world and in 2012 God blessed us with, in my opinion, the cutest little boy ever created! I've been in vocational ministry since 2001 and after thirteen years in student ministry, God has brought me to Norman, Oklahoma as the Lead Minister of University Christian Church before that I held ministries in Oklahoma and Texas. I received my B.S. from Dallas Christian College and my M.A.R. from Liberty University. I love Jesus, people, Texas Tech, reading, watching movies, basketball, and learning about culture. I have a passion for reaching people with the love of Christ and seeing them in turn change their worlds with that same love! So that is me in a nutshell, my life has been anything but normal, but I wouldn't change it for the world! Along the way, I've lost parents & siblings, been on top of the world, had it all come crashing down, & hit rock bottom, but through it all God has had a plan and has helped me see that I am His son who He loves and because of that there is no reason to fear or worry or stress. He's got my back! Bottomline, I am just someone who loves this adventure of life with its ups and downs & is trying to point people to a Savior who love us more than we can imagine!
