While I was in my apartment the other day, I accidentally cut my finger on my favorite pair of scissors. It shouldn’t have been a big deal, but that little cut turned into quite a fiasco, because I had no band-aids at my apartment. It was just one of those things that I forgot I needed at my new place.
After I managed to stop the bleeding, I set out on an adventure to the grocery store to buy some band-aids. It didn’t take me long to find what I needed and make my way to the express check-out lane. As I handed my money to the cashier, she noticed the cut on my finger and sweetly said, “Oh honey! Let me bandage that for you!”
She will probably never know this, but that cashier’s act of kindness meant the world to me at that moment. Cutting my finger made me miss my parent’s house and my family’s care. The cashier’s motherly concern over my cut finger reminded me that I am not alone here in Texas. God will always be beside you and me. He will always take care of things as small as cuts and bruises or as big as careers and marriages. Sometimes we just have to open our eyes to the small things.
This Month in KidzView:
On Sunday mornings, we will continue to learn about God through some of our zoo animal friends with our theme: At the Zoo. Make sure to ask your child what their favorite animal has been so far!
On Wednesday nights, we are learning about being STRONG & COURAGEOUS through the story of Joshua, Ruth, and the Judges.
On October 29th, KidzView will team up with our preView and Student Ministry friends for Pumpkin Palooza. This will be a great event for the whole family to experience Wednesday night fun together!
