How Do We Best Grow Spiritually?

LifeGroups
Throughout the scriptures we discover a concerning pattern – there is no succinct plan of discipleship.  We may find a verse or two that give us a little direction, but no passage clearly outlines from start to finish how every Christian is to grow.  Instead we find that the examples of men and women who develop disciples of Jesus all have one characteristic in common: People grow best within a relationship.  Whether it was Jesus and his disciples, Paul and Timothy, or even Elijah and Elisha in the Old Testament, a relationship is necessary for spiritual growth.
It is this idea that causes us to emphasize LifeGroups at Valley View Christian Church.  We challenge everyone in our church to participate in a LifeGroup because it is the best environment for relationships to be created and to develop.  Of course, these relationships are created and develop around the person of Christ.
At a Life Group someone can expect conversation to occur around food, study to occur around the scriptures, and prayer to take place around the shared issues of life.
If you would like to be involved in a group at Valley View, go ahead and email me at pholland@vvcc.org, and I can help you get connected! Hope to talk with you soon.
