Look at your hands. Look at your feet. Listen to the sound of your own voice.
Now hear the words of Paul: “…present yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life, and your members as instruments of righteousness.” -Romans 6:13
Do you know what this means?! This means that if you are in Christ, each part of your body is an instrument of righteousness; a tool of goodness; a channel by which God chooses to express his character. The equipment of the Almighty was not made to showcase, but to be put to great diligence.
Each day of our lives the Lord provides opportunities for this diligence; in our homes, at our places of work, and throughout our communities. But He also tells us to go into all the world. He declares that His righteousness is for every language, every people-group, every person.
Therefore, as a family of believers, we put our hands, our feet, and our voices to work in this City, but we also join God in His work around the world.
In November, some men from our church family are going to Piedras Negras, Mexico to work alongside the mission of Vida Nueva. Through construction projects and fellowship with the local church, we will have the opportunity to put His instruments of righteousness to work in Mexico. We are so excited for this trip and so thankful that our Lord calls us, expects us, and empowers us to put our hands and our feet and our voices to work, expressing His righteous character, as glory is given to His name.
