One week ago today, 153 of you took part in the Great Day of Service. We spread throughout our city and did some incredible things in the name of Jesus!
Since then, we’ve heard a lot of you mention that you are inspired to continue to serve. We love that, and want to equip you to do so!
What are ideas you have for ways you can LoveDallas? If you are already involved in loving your neighbors and volunteering around the city, we would love to hear your stories! If you are not currently volunteering to serve around our city, we have several different outreach programs at Valley View where it would be easy and fun for you to get involved!
Check out this list of programs where you can jump in and begin to serve:
Tutoring and Enrichment Program – Providing help with schoolwork and encouragement for life to children (kindergarten through 5th grade) in our community. Mondays and Wednesdays, 4:00-5:30pm.
Wednesday Evening Meals – Feeding and eating with hungry kids before programming. Wednesdays, 5:45-6:45pm.
Blessing Teen Parents – Sharing God’s love and hope with young moms and dads. One Tuesday a month, 6:30-8:00pm.
Friday Night Open Gym – Inviting students (4th-12th grade) into a community of hope while providing a safe place for them to hang out on Friday evenings. Odd numbered Fridays (except for holiday weeks), 7:00-9:00pm.
OurCalling – A ministry near Fair Park that labors to share the Gospel with those without homes. Monday Night Football: November 2, 6:00-9:00pm, and Thanksgiving Meal: Register online at http://www.ourcalling.org/volunteer/thanksgiving/
