Discipleship happens best…

Hello! I would like to introduce myself. I am Micah Booe and I serve as the Discipleship Intern here at Valley View. I’m usually found with my beautiful wife Sarah Beth or doing something outside. I have been at Valley View since October, and I am loving it!
As the Discipleship Intern I have been working with Joe and the staff as we think through how to disciple people at Valley View. One thing I am passionate about is LifeGroups.  We truly believe LifeGroups are foundational in the life of a Christian, a place where life change happens and people become more engaged disciples of Jesus. The purpose of our LifeGroups ministry is to help inspire people to follow Jesus.
It is our desire to demonstrate what it looks like for Valley View to be a church of community, living life along side of one another as a family.
Discipleship happens best when you are in relationship with other people.
If we look at the very nature of who God is, we see Father, Son, and Spirit together. God’s most foundational nature is relationship with others. We see Jesus make this claim in John 14 when Phillip asks Jesus to see the Father and Jesus replies, “Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father.” The Father, Jesus, and the Spirit live together in perfect community, reflecting and giving praise to one another. If we truly believe God created us in His image, and that we are to be like Him, then we absolutely cannot ignore God’s desire for us to be in relationship with one another in order to reflect God.

Powerful things happen when someone dives into deep relationship with other people. God created us to be that way on purpose. We see this here at Valley View, and are excited for more lives to be changed through relationship in our Church family.
It is for this reason that we want to be champions of “togetherness,” a church that highly values relationships and living life with others, and LifeGroups are a great way to do this! When a group of God’s people get together to lean into the Word of God, they allow Jesus to do powerful things in His Church!
